There’s so much beauty in capturing intimate moments at home with your loved ones. Being in the warmth of your own space with the people who make up your entire world is the definition of pure happiness. My session with The Baines family was one of my favourites. We wanted to create honest, wholesome, and authentic moments that captured the essence of who they were as a family.

In alignment with keeping a genuine truth to our session we chose to stay au natural, cozied up on their big beautiful king bed that’s dressed in the softest linen. The gentle light pouring in through the big windows created the perfect atmosphere.

There was no formal posing or any facade for the camera; instead, they simply allowed me to document their true selves, imperfections and all. And in doing so, we created images that were not just beautiful, but real and emotive.

As I left their home that day, I felt a surge of gratitude wash over me because this is the work I get to do. I’m always reminded how powerful photography is; to not just freeze a moment in time, but to capture the essence of love, connection, and the meaning in your life. I love this work so much.

In the end, it’s these moments that truly matter the most, this is our one precious life we work so hard to build and you deserve to linger in the beauty of your life.
